Henry Tipton began his professional construction career in 1967 and stayed in this industry for most of his working career. A large part of his career was spent in the carpet industry serving the construction industry. Henry moved to Chattanooga in 1987 as VP of Sales for Distinctive Carpets and worked with architects across the country with some visits to large commercial contractors.

Now an independent contractor, Henry brings over 40 years of construction industry experience and professional discipline to commercial and residential construction, commercial and residential remodeling, commercial and retail buildouts, custom home building and insurance-quality construction repair.

As a member of the Home Builders Association of Southern Tennessee, Henry's served on the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2009, acting as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President. Henry also served on the Board of Directors for Home Builders Association of Tennessee from 2004 to 2009.

Henry is a Fully Licensed Class 1 and Class 2 Contractor with the State of Tennessee for residential and commercial construction jobs up to $483,000. In his free time from 1985 until 2007, Henry worked with the United States Soccer Federation, serving as a referree, referee instructor and eventually Director of Assessment for the State of Tennessee. He still serves as an advisor and mentor for aspiring soccer referees in Tennessee.
